Does CBD Oil Cause Insomnia

While CBD doesn’t usually case it, there are a few instances where it might occur. However, it actually usually does the opposite, giving you better, more restful sleep.  However, based on the doses, it can impact the sleep quality. Higher doses usually more sedative sleep. It can actually help some people get better sleep, since this is not a compound that’s psychoactive like how THC is.

Insomnia is something that does cause problems for people, since there are sleep disturbances along with awakenings at night, where you get up and you’re unable to fall back to sleep. Anxiety, pain, depression, alcohol, and ecstasy and cocaine are some of the major causes of insomnia. However, CBD doesn’t actually cause it, but it does the opposite, since it can be hep with anxiety, depression, pain, and stressors too, and helps you improve your sleep functions better, resulting in sleep, which is more restful, and better for you.

Why it might Create Insomnia

There are some instances where yes, CBD does cause insomnia.

The first, is the wake promoting. If you take low doses, usually around 15 mg or less in some cases, it’s more stimulating, and it negates those tired feelings.  Low doses of this compound as well improve the protein synthesis of the parts of your brain that are involved in waking up.  You also may feel like you’re starting to stay awake, rather than sleeping. However, this will not happen with larger doses

Another reason is that you’re using it too much. If you use it every single night, it does create a tolerance in some people, so the body gets used to it, so your body won’t fall asleep with this. The way to combat this one, is to take larger dosages, however, it does create the problem where you need to have this in order to fall asleep, which creates a dependence on this, and it might result in you getting insomnia because of this.

How to use this

CBD does help with sleep because it can relieve pain, depression, and stress, and through the relieving of this, it can help with sleep, and even maintaining sleep.  Also, high doses of this is good for adults because it can help them get to sleep if they suffer from negative conditions which do directly impact this.

If you’re going to use this, you want to make sure that you start low, and from there increase this and see what kinds of effects that this gives you. If you have sleep and anxiety troubles, you may want to start with a dose, see if it helps, and then start to increase this.

About 160 mg of this is great for sleep, and it does increase the total amount of sleep and how often you’re waking up in the middle of the night. However, if you do need the sedative results from this, you should go for about 300-600 mg if you want to feel those effects and get a more deep sleep.

In terms of when to take it, usually about a half hour to an hour before you go to bed is ideal, this is because it does need to be absorbed within the bloodstream before it works, and the impact does depend on how much you’re taking, your weight, and your own personal levels of metabolism

Overall though, if you take it as a tincture, it does work a little bit faster, and it can sometimes last a little bit longer and is slightly more potent.  The same thing can be said with smoking, as smoking usually is immediate.
